Share your experiences of anti-social behaviour with Derbyshire’s PCC and Chief Constable

Police and Crime Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts is inviting people to share their experiences of anti-social behaviour (ASB) to help highlight any barriers to reporting or support.

The Derbyshire PCC is working closely with the force and partners to improve the response to ASB and increase help and support for victims.

Part of that work involves engaging with victims directly to identify what is working and what needs improvement to help communities feel safe, listened to and involved in the services designed to protect them.

The Commissioner’s December Public Assurance Meeting (PAM) will focus exclusively on ASB – one of six priorities in her new Police and Crime Plan – and she is calling on residents and businesses personally affected to submit questions in advance about their experiences to guide the discussions.

Questions will be answered directly by the Chief Constable or the relevant force specialist during the PCC’s podcast, which will be available to the public to view after the meeting.

PAM meetings are one of several platforms used by the Commissioner to hold the Chief Constable and force to account for the delivery of her Police and Crime Plan priorities and to monitor performance to ensure residents receive an effective and efficient policing service.

Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts said: “I am proud of the progress made to tackle ASB. These improvements have always been driven by the people I am elected to serve, and we continue to listen and act robustly on issues that blight our communities. These have included the menace of e-scooters which endanger pedestrians and cause a nuisance on our roads. 

“Thousands of hours of extra patrols are underway in communities with long-suffering ASB problems, while our Immediate Justice Scheme is the most successful in the country with more than 70% of participants not reoffending.

“We are determined to do more but we need the public’s help. Is ASB a problem where you live? Are you happy with the action taken to resolve these problems? This is an opportunity to share your experiences and seek answers with those responsible for making the decisions about your safety while also helping to drive positive change.”

Public Assurance Meetings are recorded and published via the Commissioner’s website and social media channels.

Questions should be submitted in writing from Monday 22 September 2025 and cannot be in relation to current investigations. The deadline for submission of all questions is Monday 6 October 2025.
