What is the Police and Crime Plan ?

The Police and Crime Plan is created by the Police and Crime Commissioner and sets out, on behalf of the public, their priorities for Derbyshire and how they will work with the police and partners to achieve them.

What does it consist of ?

The Derbyshire Police and Crime plan outlines the strategic priorities for policing which the Chief Constable will deliver over the next four years.  The Police and Crime Commissioner’s priorities are :

  • Strong Local Policing
  • Neighbourhood Crime and Anti-social Behaviour
  • Road safety
  • Victim Support and Safeguarding
  • Rural crime
  • Driving Efficiencies

The Police and Crime Plan was presented to the Police and Crime Panel on the 18/11/2021 which was discussed and unanimously supported by all members present.  

The plan will be reviewed annually taking account of changing priorities to ensure it remains relevant.
