What is the BCRP?
The Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) is a crime prevention scheme for local businesses committed to working together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Their aim is to make towns and cities a safer place, to work, visit, study and shop, while enhancing the appeal of the area, bringing in new investment and in turn increasing customer footfall.
The scheme is supported by Disc, an intelligence‑sharing platform that enables members to:
- View photo galleries of known offenders
- Access and share real‑time intelligence
- Submit incident and crime reports directly to the Police
- Record and monitor exclusion notices
The BCRP currently operates in Chesterfield, Bakewell, Matlock, Staveley and Derby City. It is available to all businesses across Derbyshire and Derby City.

Stronger Together: the BCRP and the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner
In Derbyshire, the BCRP operates within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner under the strategic oversight of Police and Crime Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts.
By working in partnership in this way, the BCRP can leverage the conveying power of the PCC and can offer enhanced representation for the business community at regional and national forums, enabling stronger advocacy on issues such as prolific offenders, safer high streets, and criminal justice outcomes. This means BCRP members feed into work shaping policing and partnership strategies that affect residents and business in Derbyshire and Derby City.
