Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles is planning a close look at the work being done to tackle and prevent domestic abuse during his Strategic Governance Board meeting on Monday (29 June).
Members of the public are welcome to attend the monthly meeting which will start at 2pm at Police Headquarters in Butterley Hall, Ripley. Or they can tweet questions to the meeting, putting their queries to the Commissioner or the Chief Constable, using the hashtag #askSGB.
Questions are answered at the start of the meeting, and can be sent via Twitter @DerbyshirePCC or @DerbysPolice or by using #askSGB in the question. The 30-minute question and answer session also extends to those who attend the meeting in person.
Questions can also be submitted in advance via email, to the Chief Executive (David.Peet.16406@Derbyshire.PNN.Police.UK). Although specific cases are not able to be discussed in the meeting, they are followed up by senior representatives from the Force.
Performance reports relating to domestic abuse in the county will be from Chief Executive David Peet and Chief Constable Mick Creedon. The reports will include feedback and outcomes from the Police and Crime Commissioner’s national domestic violence summit in April, and issues raised by partner organisations working with victims of domestic abuse in Derbyshire.
Other matters on the agenda include a performance report regarding rape and serious sexual offences, financial reports relating to capital and revenue outturns, and an annual report on treasury management.
Agenda and papers for the meeting can be found at http://www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk/News-and-Events-Meetings/Meeting-Information/Strategic-Governance-Board-2015.aspx.
