The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is hosting an open evening to provide further information for three upcoming volunteer posts within the OPCC.
The event is being held on 24 October 2019 at Police HQ in Ripley, between 6pm and 8pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
There will be formal presentations given for each volunteer post and following this there will be opportunity to speak informally with staff and existing volunteers to find out more about the roles and to answer any questions.

Support us at public events across Derbyshire to gather people’s views on policing and community safety. Great opportunity if you enjoy engaging with the public. Volunteers mainly needed at weekends during the summer.

Independent Custody Visitor (ICV) & Independent Custody Reviewer (ICR)
You will visit the police stations and impartially look, listen and report on your findings during the visit and review randomly selected Custody Records of vulnerable individuals who have been detained in custody and report upon pre-set criteria.

Stop Search Panel member
Do you have a passion for ensuring that the Police deliver a high quality service across Derbyshire? Could you spare some time each month to volunteer. We need volunteers for the Stop & Search Scrutiny Panel which meets monthly to ensure powers are used appropriately.
