Police and Crime Commissioner, Hardyal Dhindsa, launched his Police and Crime Plan in draft on Wednesday 24 August 2016 . The Commissioner provided an opportunity for people to give feedback on the draft plan up until Friday 9 September 2016. Feedback which was received from the public during this period was then reviewed by the Commissioner.
The plan was formally presented and subsequently agreed at the Police & Crime Panel on Thursday 15 September 2016. The plan was later approved for final publication at the Strategic Governance Board (SGB) meeting on Monday 28 November 2016.
