Consultation and Community Engagement

The Commissioner has a duty to regularly consult and involve the public. As part of this, they want and need to hear what you have to say and be aware of your experiences.

The purpose of these events will generally be linked to the allocation of the budget or to seek residents' opinions on local policing priorities.

Information events will be held around the county so that the Commissioner can talk with members of the public and hear their views on policing matters. Some of these events will be face-to-face engagement with the public through, for example, surgeries and open meetings in local communities. Others will be of a more formal nature where people can observe but not join in.
