This section of our website has been designed to allow people interested in standing in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections in May 2016 to understand the scope and repsonsibilities of the role of Police and Crime Commissioner; to share information about our current work; to better understand Derbyshire Constabulary and the threats and risks it is managing; and explaining how Derbyshire Constabulary works with regional and national partners.

Information in this section will be regularly updated so we reccommend that you revisit this page on a regular basis to see if there is any new information. We will also be using this page to publish our responses to questions recieved from interested parties and prospective candidates to ensure transparency.

The elections will take place on Thursday 5th May 2016. The current Police & Crime Commissioner, Mr Alan Charles, will remain in office until midnight on 11th May 2016, with the new PCC taking over responsibilities on 12th May.
