Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa responded:
“This report clearly supports what I and other Labour PCCs have been saying. The funding cuts went on for too long and were too deep. Our workforce is paying too a high price. I recognise that our employees are our biggest asset and have been supporting a number of initiatives to promote health and well-being. My approach to demand management and reduction through effective partnership working is well documented. We are, as they say, ‘on it’. But there is more to do.
“When I have read the review in detail, I will discuss the findings with the Chief Constable, the Federation and other representative groups to review progress to date and to identify future actions.”
