Alan Charles and Bernard Rix
Alan Charles, Derbyshire’s PCC, has been awarded the national transparency quality mark from Bernard Rix, Chief Executive of CoPaCC, in recognition of the comprehensive information carried on his website.
CoPaCC is an independent national body set up to monitor police governance through the comparison of Police and Crime Commissioners.
Speaking after the presentation, Alan Charles said: “I firmly believe that as a publicly elected representative I have a duty to ensure complete transparency in the information I provide to both inform and involve people in my work. With that in mind I made increasing openness and transparency a priority for all my team and I’m delighted to see that thanks to their hard work we have received this recognition from CoPaCC.”
Bernard Rix said: "I am delighted to present this Quality Mark to Alan Charles, the Derbyshire PCC. The Derbyshire PCC's Office present key information in an accessible and timely manner on their website. In CoPaCC's 2015 national assessment, Derbyshire were one of only 24 (out of 41) PCCs' offices that consistently demonstrated that they are transparent in what they do. I congratulate them on their good work.”
