Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles and his Deputy Hardyal Dhindsa will be joining services, organisations, agencies, groups and individuals with the aim of introducing new approaches to tackling hate crime together on Tuesday 13 October 2015.
It will include talks on the impact of hate crime on victims, including personal accounts, and how Derbyshire Constabulary, agencies and community partners work to prevent the torment and protect victims. New ideas will be proposed and discussed by delegates during group work in the afternoon.
The event has been organised in partnership with the University of Derby with the help of Professor Kevin Bampton, Head of Department of Law and Criminology.
