NSPCC Campaign gets the support of the Commissioner

Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles is backing a campaign by the NSPCC to make it a criminal offence to send a child a sexual message.

The “Flaw in the Law” campaign is urging the public to sign an online petition calling for the law to be reformed.

Mr Charles said: “Currently the laws on this issue are confusing – many adults believe it is already against the law to send a minor a sexual message but at the moment this is not always the case”.

Information about the campaign, petition and suggestions on how you can support it can be found on the NSPCC website (www.nspcc.org.uk)
