Shoppers, workers and local residents are being invited to air their views about crime and policing at Ripley Market Place on Friday (5 September) as the Over To You team continues its county-wide survey.
Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles plans to join the event, which runs from 10am-2pm, and is keen to hear what people think about crime in their neighbourhoods. “This information helps to guide me in my plans to make the county safer and helps the police to allocate resources where they are most needed,” he said.
“It’s always great to talk directly with members of the public about what matters most to them, but I urge people who can’t be there on the day to get their views across by taking part in our online survey.”
Each event is part of the ‘Over To You’ consultation and engagement programme which Commissioner Charles and his team, together with Derbyshire Constabulary, will continue to run across the county until October. Crime prevention advice is also offered to help people protect themselves and their property against crime.
For those unable to share their views in person, survey details can be accessed by going to: www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk or by calling 0300 122 6000.
