Deputy Commissioner in for Questioning

Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa will share the hot seat with the Chief Constable to take questions from members of the public at the next meeting of the Strategic Governance Board to be held at Police HQ in Ripley on Monday, 14 October, starting at 2.00pm.

The first 30 minutes is set aside to give members of the public the opportunity to ask questions on policing in the county of either the Deputy Commissioner or the Chief Constable.

The remainder of the meeting will focus on performance, finance and in-depth reviews of specialist areas.

Mr Dhindsa said: “I hope people will take this opportunity to come along, ask questions and see how decisions are made.  People often comment that they have a question but don’t know who to ask, or they wonder how decisions are made.

“We are very accessible, totally transparent and this is a chance for people to see that for themselves.”

There is no need for people to give notice of questions in advance but anyone wanting to take part must be present for the start of the meeting at 2pm.
